InCaseOfEmergency
InCaseOfEmergency.US
and The ARC of San Diego
Partnership To Distribute Personal Emergency &
Disaster Preparedness Books
ENCINITAS, Calif., January 5, 2005
-- InCaseOfEmergency.US (“ICOE”), the leading provider of personal emergency
planning and preparedness solutions, today announced its partnership with the
ARC of San Diego, a leading service provider for people with disabilities and
their families. ICOE will provide ARC with its ReadyBooks™
product line and customer purchase orders. The ARC will shrink wrap, package and
ship ReadyBooks™ orders directly to ICOE’s customers.
‘This is an excellent relationship
that takes advantage of the key capabilities of both partners,” said Janice
Mueller of ICOE. “There is nothing else like ReadyBooks™ in the
market today dedicated to the safety and emergency preparedness of individuals
and families. Both The ARC–SD and ICOE are dedicated to making the world safer
and more productive.”
ICOE’s ReadyBooks™
series of five personal emergency planning and response books include
ReadyLifeline™, ReadyPlan™, ReadyHome™,
ReadyAuto™ and ReadyVet™. Each ReadyBook, specifically
targeted to a key life management priority, has a distinctive cover to
facilitate easy identification, and comes with a color coordinated travel case.
The owner’s name can be written on both the book and the pouch to make them even
more accessible in emergency situations. A convenient travel pouch holds each
ReadyBook and includes a document pocket for copies of important records,
identification and maps essential for situational management. All ReadyBooks™
also contain a valuable emergency resource section designed to provide quick
access to important personal contacts including Emergency Medical Agencies,
Government and National Agencies, Legal Resources, Family/Friends and Neighbors.
Additionally, ICOE offers a series of first-aid, emergency response and survival
kits that provide complete emergency solutions customized to the individual
user’s needs when used in conjunction with the ReadyBooks™.
“We immediately saw the ARC as a
great fit for us because ICOE’s goal of making individuals, families and the
community ready to respond to emergency and disaster situations fits so nicely
with The Arc - SD objective of working in partnership with persons who are
disabled, and their families, in creating opportunities to achieve their
individual goals within the community,” Ms. Mueller went on to say.
Clarence G. Steadman, Ph.D., the
Director of The ARC of San Diego noted that, “Arc-SD has a history of providing
services and support for over 50 years. We offer customers like ICOE a well
trained and caring staff, positive experiences for persons served, in a safe
environment that allows some risk taking with no pre-conceived limits on
achievements, state-of-the-art equipment and methods, and a willingness to
innovate and collaborate. ICOE immediately recognized our capabilities, and we
are proud to be working with them on this project that is so important to our
community and its families.”
ICOE and the ARC-SD will begin
offering products to the marketplace beginning in January, 2005. For corporate,
business or non-profit organizational users, both ReadyBooks™ and
the travel pouch can be co-branded with logo and specific related content to
make them valuable benefits, fundraiser items or gifts.
